Under the supervision of a physician and the Respiratory Therapy Director, administers prescribed respiratory therapy procedures, performs a variety of technical procedures and assists in the cleaning, maintenance, and disinfection of respiratory therapy equipment.

Qualifications or Skills Required

Graduate of an approved JRCRTE Program. Registered as an RRT, Certified as a CRT, CRTT or RCP required. Texas license preferred. Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Current in CPR. Some computer skills required. Requires extended periods of standing and walking, bending and reaching when providing patient care. Pushing and pulling equipment, lifting supplies up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of patients when needed.

Responsibilities

Draws and processes specimens promptly and in compliance with established procedure. Performs routine and special laboratory tests under the supervision of a Laboratory Manager. Follows established procedures when performing chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urine analysis, bacteria cultures, blood bank, or serology tests or procedures. Assists in the maintenance of instruments and equipment. M-F 12p-9p

Qualifications or Skills Required

Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Ability to calculate test results and effective oral and written communications. Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP/AMT or equivalent, or registry eligible. Must have computer skills. Requires moderate periods of sitting, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily supply inventory, ordering of supplies and annual inventory of supplies. Maintain and manage appropriate staffing. Assures all lab equipment is in good working condition. Handles departmental Quality Control plan. Acts as the Laboratory liaison between Medical Staff, Administration and the Lab. Also functions as back up to other lab personnel when required.

Qualifications or Skills Required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical Laboratory Science. Certification by ASCP or equivalent. 5 years’ experience performing and/or supervising high complexity testing. Knowledge of clinical laboratory diagnosis, theory, methodology and instrumentation. Leadership and management skills preferred.

Provide occupational rehabilitative services to people under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team. In coordination with OT, plan initial and subsequent treatment programs based on test findings. Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients. Complete all paperwork in required time specification. Perform duties under strict rules of confidentiality.

Qualifications or Skills Required

Graduate of accredited OTA program with a minimum of an associate’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant. One year’s experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant preferred. Qualifications include current CPR license, Texas licensure and some computer skills required. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend, and reach when providing patient care. Pushing and pulling up to 300 pounds and carrying up to 50 pounds.
